10 Reasons You Should Never Get A Job

A fine example of why using a tried and tested income-generating system like Utility Warehouse is a great way to go. An article which I found entirely riveting. If it causes a negative emotional response from you, be sure to reread his comments near the end as to why this might be…
Here goes:10 Reasons You Should Never Get A Job

Just for fun I recently asked, “Now that the kids are on summer hols, don’t you think it’s about time you went out and got yourself a job? I hate seeing you wallow in unemployment for so long.”

She smiled and said, “Wow. I have been unemployed a really long time. That’s weird… I like it!”

Neither of us have had jobs since the ’90s (my only job was in 1992), so we’ve been self-employed for quite a while. In our household it’s a running joke for one of us to say to the other, “Maybe you should get a job, derelict!”

It’s like the scene in The Three Stooges where Moe tells Curly to get a job, and Curly backs away, saying, “No, please… not that! Anything but that!”

It’s funny that when people reach a certain age, such as after graduating college, they assume it’s time to go out and get a job. But like many things the masses do, just because everyone does it doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. In fact, if you’re reasonably intelligent, getting a job is one of the worst things you can do to support yourself. There are far better ways to make a living than selling yourself into indentured servitude.

Here are some reasons you should do everything in your power to avoid getting a job:

1. Income for dummies.

Getting a job and trading your time for money may seem like a good idea. There’s only one problem with it. It’s stupid! It’s the stupidest way you can possibly generate income! This is truly income for dummies.

Why is getting a job so dumb? Because you only get paid when you’re working. Don’t you see a problem with that, or have you been so thoroughly brainwashed into thinking it’s reasonable and intelligent to only earn income when you’re working? Have you never considered that it might be better to be paid even when you’re not working? Who taught you that you could only earn income while working? Some other brainwashed employee perhaps?

Don’t you think your life would be much easier if you got paid while you were eating, sleeping, and playing with the kids too? Why not get paid 24/7? Get paid whether you work or not. Don’t your plants grow even when you aren’t tending to them? Why not your bank account?

Who cares how many hours you work? Only a handful of people on this entire planet care how much time you spend at the office. Most of us won’t even notice whether you work 6 hours a week or 60. But if you have something of value to provide that matters to us, a number of us will be happy to pull out our wallets and pay you for it. We don’t care about your time — we only care enough to pay for the value we receive. Do you really care how long it took me to write this article? Would you pay me twice as much if it took me 6 hours vs. only 3?

Non-dummies often start out on the traditional income for dummies path. So don’t feel bad if you’re just now realizing you’ve been suckered. Non-dummies eventually realize that trading time for money is indeed extremely dumb and that there must be a better way. And of course there is a better way. The key is to de-couple your value from your time.

Smart people build systems that generate income 24/7, especially passive income. This can include starting a business, building a web site, becoming an investor, or generating royalty income from creative work. The system delivers the ongoing value to people and generates income from it, and once it’s in motion, it runs continuously whether you tend to it or not. From that moment on, the bulk of your time can be invested in increasing your income (by refining your system or spawning new ones) instead of merely maintaining your income.

This web site isn’t my only income stream either. I write each article just once (fixed time investment), and people can extract value from them year after year. The web server delivers the value, and other systems (most of which I didn’t even build and don’t even understand) collect income and deposit it automatically into my bank account. It’s not perfectly passive, but I love writing and would do it for free anyway. But of course it cost me a lot of money to launch this business, right? Um, yeah, £6 is an awful lot these days (to register the domain name). Everything after that was profit.

Plus the purchase of the working from home opportunity from Utility Warehouse has changed my life right from the get-go, ok purchasing my position in the company cost me a measly £100 – wow !! and what did that buy me : The opportunity to earn more part time than I could ever imagine full time, graphic designers, website designers,  legal advisors, marketing material, a full hosted website – I never have to touch it 🙂 , massive bonus’s and complete freedom of time to do what I want & when I want. Oh and after getting 3 yes I said 3 customers you get the £100 refunded back to you – and you then get paid true residual income each month & every month after that – truly amazing !!!Sure it takes some upfront time and effort to design and implement your own income-generating systems. But you don’t have to reinvent the wheel — feel free to use existing systems like ad networks and affiliate programs. Once you get going, you won’t have to work so many hours to support yourself. Wouldn’t it be nice to be out having dinner with your spouse, knowing that while you’re eating, you’re earning money? If you want to keep working long hours because you enjoy it, go right ahead. If you want to sit around doing nothing, feel free. As long as your system continues delivering value to others, you’ll keep getting paid whether you’re working or not.

Your local bookstore is filled with books containing workable systems others have already designed, tested, and debugged. Nobody is born knowing how to start a business or generate investment income, but you can easily learn it. How long it takes you to figure it out is irrelevant because the time is going to pass anyway. You might as well emerge at some future point as the owner of income-generating systems as opposed to a lifelong wage slave. This isn’t all or nothing. If your system only generates a few hundred dollars a month, that’s a significant step in the right direction.

2. Limited experience.

You might think it’s important to get a job to gain experience. But that’s like saying you should play golf to get experience playing golf. You gain experience from living, regardless of whether you have a job or not. A job only gives you experience at that job, but you gain ”experience” doing just about anything, so that’s no real benefit at all. Sit around doing nothing for a couple years, and you can call yourself an experienced meditator, philosopher, or politician.

The problem with getting experience from a job is that you usually just repeat the same limited experience over and over. You learn a lot in the beginning and then stagnate. This forces you to miss other experiences that would be much more valuable. And if your limited skill set ever becomes obsolete, then your experience won’t be worth squat. In fact, ask yourself what the experience you’re gaining right now will be worth in 20-30 years. Will your job even exist then?

Consider this. Which experience would you rather gain? The knowledge of how to do a specific job really well — one that you can only monetize by trading your time for money – or the knowledge of how to enjoy financial abundance for the rest of your life without ever needing a job again? Now I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have the latter experience. That seems a lot more useful in the real world, wouldn’t you say?

3. Lifelong domestication.

Getting a job is like enrolling in a human domestication program. You learn how to be a good pet.

Look around you. Really look. What do you see? Are these the surroundings of a free human being? Or are you living in a cage for unconscious animals? Have you fallen in love with the color beige?

How’s your obedience training coming along? Does your master reward your good behavior? Do you get disciplined if you fail to obey your master’s commands?

Is there any spark of free will left inside you? Or has your conditioning made you a pet for life?

Humans are not meant to be raised in cages. You poor thing…

4. Too many mouths to feed.

Employee income is the most heavily taxed there is. In the UK you can expect that about a third your salary will go in taxes. The tax system is designed to disguise how much you’re really giving up because some of those taxes are paid by your employer, and some are deducted from your wages. But you can bet that from your employer’s perspective, all of those taxes are considered part of your pay, as well as any other compensation you receive such as benefits. Even the rent for the office space you consume is considered, so you must generate that much more value to cover it. You might feel supported by your corporate environment, but keep in mind that you’re the one paying for it.

Another chunk of your income goes to owners and investors. That’s a lot of mouths to feed.

It isn’t hard to understand why employees pay the most in taxes relative to their income. After all, who has more control over the tax system? Business owners and investors or employees?

You only get paid a fraction of the real value you generate. Your real salary may be more than triple what you’re paid, but most of that money you’ll never see. It goes straight into other people’s pockets.

What a generous person you are!

5. Way too risky.

Many employees believe getting a job is the safest and most secure way to support themselves.

Morons.

Social conditioning is amazing. It’s so good it can even make people believe the exact opposite of the truth.

Does putting yourself in a position where someone else can turn off all your income just by saying two words (“You’re fired”) sound like a safe and secure situation to you? Does having only one income stream honestly sound more secure than having 10?

The idea that a job is the most secure way to generate income is just silly. You can’t have security if you don’t have control, and employees have the least control of anyone. If you’re an employee, then your real job title should be professional gambler.

6. Having an evil bovine master.

When you run into an idiot in the entrepreneurial world, you can turn around and head the other way. When you run into an idiot in the corporate world, you have to turn around and say, “Sorry, boss.”

Did you know that the word boss comes from the Dutch word baas, which historically means master? Another meaning of the word boss is “a cow or bovine.” And in many video games, the boss is the evil dude that you have to kill at the end of a level.

So if your boss is really your evil bovine master, then what does that make you? Nothing but a turd in the herd.

Who’s your daddy?

7. Begging for money.

When you want to increase your income, do you have to sit up and beg your master for more money? Does it feel good to be thrown some extra Scooby Snacks now and then?

Or are you free to decide how much you get paid without needing anyone’s permission but your own?

If you have a business and one customer says “no” to you, you simply say “next.”

8. An inbred social life.

Many people treat their jobs as their primary social outlet. They hang out with the same people working in the same field. Such incestuous relations are social dead ends. An exciting day includes deep conversations about the company’s switch between paper suppliers, the delay of Microsoft’s latest operating system, and the unexpected delivery of more Bic pens. Consider what it would be like to go outside and talk to strangers. Ooooh… scary! Better stay inside where it’s safe.

If one of your co-slaves gets sold to another master, do you lose a friend? If you work in a male-dominated field, does that mean you never get to talk to women above the rank of receptionist? Why not decide for yourself whom to socialize with instead of letting your master decide for you? Believe it or not, there are locations on this planet where free people congregate. Just be wary of those jobless folk — they’re a crazy bunch!

9. Loss of freedom.

It takes a lot of effort to tame a human being into an employee. The first thing you have to do is break the human’s independent will. A good way to do this is to give them a weighty policy manual filled with nonsensical rules and regulations. This leads the new employee to become more obedient, fearing that s/he could be disciplined at any minute for something incomprehensible. Thus, the employee will likely conclude it’s safest to simply obey the master’s commands without question. Stir in some office politics for good measure, and we’ve got a freshly minted mind slave.

As part of their obedience training, employees must be taught how to dress, talk, move, and so on. We can’t very well have employees thinking for themselves, now can we? That would ruin everything.

God forbid you should put a plant on your desk when it’s against the company policy. Oh no, it’s the end of the world! Cindy has a plant on her desk! Summon the enforcers! Send Cindy back for another round of sterility training!

Free human beings think such rules and regulations are silly of course. The only policy they need is: “Be smart. Be nice. Do what you love. Have fun.”

10. Becoming a coward.

Have you noticed that employed people have an almost endless capacity to whine about problems at their companies? But they don’t really want solutions – they just want to vent and make excuses why it’s all someone else’s fault. It’s as if getting a job somehow drains all the free will out of people and turns them into spineless cowards. If you can’t call your boss a jerk now and then without fear of getting fired, you’re no longer free. You’ve become your master’s property.

When you work around cowards all day long, don’t you think it’s going to rub off on you? Of course it will. It’s only a matter of time before you sacrifice the noblest parts of your humanity on the altar of fear: first courage… then honesty… then honor and integrity… and finally your independent will. You sold your humanity for nothing but an illusion. And now your greatest fear is discovering the truth of what you’ve become.

I don’t care how badly you’ve been beaten down. It is never too late to regain your courage. Never!

Still want a job?

If you’re currently a well-conditioned, well-behaved employee, your most likely reaction to the above will be defensiveness. It’s all part of the conditioning. But consider that if the above didn’t have a grain of truth to it, you wouldn’t have an emotional reaction at all. This is only a reminder of what you already know. You can deny your cage all you want, but the cage is still there. Perhaps this all happened so gradually that you never noticed it until now… like a lobster enjoying a nice warm bath.

If any of this makes you mad, that’s a step in the right direction. Anger is a higher level of consciousness than apathy, so it’s a lot better than being numb all the time. Any emotion — even confusion — is better than apathy. If you work through your feelings instead of repressing them, you’ll soon emerge on the doorstep of courage. And when that happens, you’ll have the will to actually do something about your situation and start living like the powerful human being you were meant to be instead of the domesticated pet you’ve been trained to be.

Happily jobless

What’s the alternative to getting a job? The alternative is to remain happily jobless for life and to generate income through other means. Realize that you earn income by providing value — not time – so find a way to provide your best value to others, and charge a fair price for it. One of the simplest and most accessible ways is to start your own business. Whatever work you’d otherwise do via employment, find a way to provide that same value directly to those who will benefit most from it. It takes a bit more time to get going, but your freedom is easily worth the initial investment of time and energy. Then you can buy your own Scooby Snacks for a change.

One of the greatest fears you’ll confront is that you may not have any real value to offer others. Maybe being an employee and getting paid by the hour is the best you can do. Maybe you just aren’t worth that much. That line of thinking is all just part of your conditioning. It’s absolute nonsense. As you begin to dump such brainwashing, you’ll soon recognize that you have the ability to provide enormous value to others and that people will gladly pay you for it. There’s only one thing that prevents you from seeing this truth — fear.

All you really need is the courage to be yourself. Your real value is rooted in who you are, not what you do. The only thing you need actually do is express your real self to the world. You’ve been told all sort of lies as to why you can’t do that. But you’ll never know true happiness and fulfillment until you summon the courage to do it anyway.

The next time someone says to you, “Get a job,” I suggest you reply as Curly did: ”No, please… not that! Anything but that!” Then poke him right in the eyes.

You already know deep down that getting a job isn’t what you want. So don’t let anyone try to tell you otherwise. Learn to trust your inner wisdom, even if the whole world says you’re wrong and foolish for doing so. Years from now you’ll look back and realize it was one of the best decisions you ever made.

Pension versus Residual Income (forever)

A white sandy beach… Blue sky… An immaculately dressed couple lovingly gazing at each other, whilst they walk into the sunset… Retirement: the longest holiday or the biggest pay cut of your life?

You’ll have seen that picture thousands of times, whenever the word ‘retirement’ is mentioned. But just how much of a cliché is it?

According to new research, it’s worse than a cliché. It’s practically fictional. The average private pension pot will provide a retirement income equivalent to 14% of the minimum wage.

Forget sandy beaches. Forget the longest holiday of your life. Retirement could well be the biggest pay cut of your life!

Here I will take you through two methods of providing for your retirement, there will be some truly scary facts and there will be some peaceful reflection needing action that shows that its not too late to start providing towards your  inevitable retirement.

1. Traditional Retirement Pension.

How could you avoid this retirement pay cut?

Most people will receive a state pension. Based on proposed new rules, this could be in the region of £7,500 a year. Some will also have additional sources of retirement income.

To build an income broadly equivalent to the current minimum wage of about £12,000 a year from private pensions you’d need a pot of roughly £220,000. The big question is: how do you build a £220,000 pension?

The answer will be different depending on individual circumstances and other factors. Also, you may need more, due to inflation, which reduces the spending power of money over time.

However, in principle the three factors most likely to affect the final value of your pension are the amount you contribute, how long you invest for and how your investments perform.

There are, however, three tips that could really help you get your pension on track. The good news is they are simple and require much less effort than you may think.

1. Don’t delay

Everybody knows: the earlier you start, the better off you should be. What not everybody realises is just how much better off.

Let’s look at a couple of examples.

Somebody starting a pension at age 18 and intending to retire at 68 could build a £220,000 pension by putting away as little as £50 a month, which the government will automatically boost to £63 through tax relief.

Delay by ten years, and everything else being the same, to build a £220,000 pension pot you’d need to put away nearly twice as much, £94 a month. Delay another ten years and you’d need to put away £182.

Roughly, every ten years you delay, you need to double your contribution to get the same result.

These example assumes net investment growth of 6%.The amount received depends on the investment returns actually achieved. Investments can fall as well as rise in value so you could get back less than you invest. Please note: tax rules can change and benefits depend on personal circumstances.

2. Make small, regular increases – they could go a long way

Would you miss £5 a month? That’s probably less than you’d pay for fish and chips but it could go a long way in your pension.

Consider this. John is 25 and contributes £50 net a month to his pension. If each year he increased his contribution by 10% – only £5 in the first year – he could reach the £220,000 mark by age 55 (based on the same assumptions as before).

Retiring at 55 is a distant dream for most people. The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show the average retirement age is 64.6 for men and 62.3 for women, and it is predicted to get higher and higher.

3. Find out where your pension is invested

Private pensions tend to be invested in the stock market. The better your investments perform, the more your pension fund grows, and the higher the income you can expect when you retire.

This potential for growth comes at a cost though. Income is not guaranteed. Not all investments are the same. Performance can vary dramatically and even a small difference could have a significant impact on the size of your pot.

For example, take a net investment of £50 a month. If it grew at 6% a year (after charges), it could be worth £117,974 in 40 years. If investment performance was slightly worse, 4%, the investment would be worth £72,098, £45,876 less. If performance was slightly better, 8% rather than 6%, the fund value could be £198,308. Though of course, depending on investment performance, it could be more or less than this.

That’s all the facts about how a pension diminishes in size.

Now for the interesting fun part:

Your Future Truly Is In Your Hands – What Would You Like It To Look Like ?

Kids asking for Money

“MUM! DAD! Can I have £20 to buy a new game? Can I have some money to go to the movies with my friends? Will you buy me some sweets? Can I have…?? Will you buy…???”

How many times have you heard things like this? Whether you have young kids, teens or maybe even grown children, at some point or another you’ve probably felt like their personal cash point machine. And the reality is, most parents give in to their kids’ requests.

That’s why it’s so refreshing to see parents raising their children to understand the importance of work and being wise with money.

I saw a post on Facebook earlier this week from a team member Heidi. Heidi and Jonathan have 6 kids, and they are doing a PHENOMENAL job of grooming them for success.

This young mother said, “My girls (4 and 6) were talking this morning about getting their ears pierced and buying earrings, and my 8-year-old said, ‘You need to come up with a way to make money so you can buy those things and not use Mum’s money. You can learn to do something that would help someone else, and they would pay you to do it.’”

Can you imagine if you overheard this conversation in your home?

How many 8-year-olds do you know who have this mindset? Imagine if, next time your children want to buy something, they decided to work to earn the money. Would you be a little shocked? Relieved? Proud?

Earlier this week, in a different post Heidi said her 8- and almost-12-year-old boys are offering their car cleaning services in order to make their own money.

WOW! These kids are NOT using their parents as an cash point. They are not growing up expecting their parents to buy everything for them or give them everything they want.

Instead, they are learning from an early age to make money by finding a need and filling it. They are learning how to take initiative and solve problems, which will position them for success for the rest of their lives.

Imagine if you had been taught how to make money and to work hard with a good attitude when you were young? Life would be so much easier now, wouldn’t it? Or maybe you are one of the few who were taught at an early age. Look how that has impacted your adult life!

Your children are watching you, and they will do what you do. Take some time today to think about the example you are setting. How do you spend money? How do you talk about work? Do the words, “I don’t want to go to work today” ever come out of your mouth? What about “I can’t afford it”?

You, as a parent, have an obligation and a moral responsibility to bring up your kids for success. Besides, I know you do not want to be the cash point Mum or Dad for the rest of your life. You certainly do not want to have a 30-year-old child living in your cellar or loft and still asking you for some cash to go out with his friends.

The bottom line is kids NEED to learn how to work and make money. They must learn how to be wise financially and in every area of their lives. Your kids are watching you and they will do what they see you do.

Jonathan and Heidi are an incredible example of this. They are setting their children up for a lifetime of financial success. Follow their example today, and help your friends, family and community to do the same! Share this message on Facebook and Twitter, or even simply forward this link!

Your Past + Your Present = Your Future

I recently read this comment on Facebook from one of our clients, I’ve been able to double my income each year. However, how do I multiply that even more?”

I’ve got to tell you, I seriously chuckled and my knee-jerk reaction was…is there a problem here?! Since you’ve been doing this business you have doubled your income each year and now you want to know how to multiply it?

First of all, you already HAVE multiplied it! When this woman first came, she was totally struggling financially and couldn’t figure out how to get ahead. She couldn’t figure out how to pay off debt or grow her income. So, after a couple of years of doubling her income each year she says, “Okay, that was easy, I’ve got that thing dialed. But, how do I MULTIPLY it?” Not even realizing that she already HAS multiplied each year …it’s already BEEN multiplied.

But, I can totally relate! When I first started making money something else came with it. A sense I had to keep it up or even do far more than I had done before. And how easily and how quickly we can forget where we have come from!

When I was about 19-20 years old I encountered my first millionaire. This group of entrepreneurs completely – I mean COMPLETELY – changed my life. This is so funny: I remember this millionaire constantly saying to me, “how do you eat an elephant?” And I’m answering, “Uhhh, I dunno.” The answer: one bite at a time! Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Now, why in the world would he say that to me? I never really figured it out until years later. It’s because, obviously, on my face I must have had this look of maybe anxiety or rush like I’ve got to get there or make it NOW!

Have you ever had that? It’s almost like there’s a racehorse inside of you trying to say, “C’mon, c’mon, let me out!” You know, the racehorse sitting in the gate and the starting gun goes off but your gate is still closed and you’re c’mon let me out of here!

Anyway, he would say these things to me every once in a while like: “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” “You’ve got to eat that elephant one bite at a time!” Now I say the same things to you, if you’re one of those people who says, “Hey, I AM doing better but how do I get more!?”

Just sit there for a moment and go, “Wow! Let me look back to where I’ve come from and look at how far I’ve come and the ground I have taken.” You’ve got to celebrate. Otherwise, where you are can feel very empty and not only is it empty, but not very rewarding, which then makes it really not worth it.

If I do that, I’ll stay on the same path, take more ground, achieve more things and most of all keep moving forward. Instead, what I watch people do when they reach a goal – in this case doubling her income each year for several years now – is now the doubling is no longer being recognized as an all-out miracle, literally!

Who doubles their income every year in this bad economy? I’ll tell you who: People who hook up to the potential that they can earn working for themselves being part of this business. THEY double their income year after year, that’s who! I don’t know of anyone else outside our community. But I do know our clients just grow and grow and grow because our culture is a culture of growth.

Too often in that culture people forget where they were, the struggles they had, how it felt to worry about all those bills. How it felt to have sleep completely robbed by a thief in the night called anxiety. How it felt to be fighting with your spouse, snappy with your kids and to be waving with one finger to people in traffic who were so easily angering you.

I made a commitment to myself a long time ago that I would never forget where I came from because I don’t EVER want to get used to all of this success and lose sight of the very, very demeaning, embarrassing, hurtful and hard beginning that I had.

Face it, if I lost sight of that, then the blessing I have today of being a successful entrepreneur of multiple companies and having great friends & family to hang out with, and travelling together, would be so empty.

And of course, I get to connect with my colleagues & team members which are SO talented, so brilliant, who just blow my mind and not to mention, YOU – who I get to work with each day! Each day, we get to touch each other’s lives, whether it’s right here with The Daily Thoughts or on Facebook or Twitter.

Sometimes when we put a little too much focus on where we’re going and what we want to be it makes us dissatisfied with where we’re at after we’ve had some incredible success, there’s a problem. There’s got to be a balance.

Don’t forget about where you’ve come from and as you are succeeding, take a moment to say, “Wow, look how far I’ve come!” And let THAT success propel you into greater success. So, in this case, her income has already been multiplied and if all she does is stay on the right track and continue to do what she’s already been doing for the last two years, she’s going to continue to multiply her income even more.

Take a moment to celebrate the things you HAVE achieved. That is proof you are going to have more success in the future as long as you continue on the right track. I’m proud of you and thanks for being here and reading every day. I’m so glad you share these messages with your family and your friends and ask that you continue to pass these messages on — it only takes two seconds and you know the power these ideas can ignite.

Do you remember your very first job interview? What was it like? What kind of questions were you asked? How did you feel? Were you intimidated? Scared? Excited? Confident?

I learned something incredibly profound in my first job interview. I was 18 years old, and I was interviewing for a high paying job I was totally unqualified for. It was a catering managers position, and I had ZERO experience.

There were 23 men applying for this one position, and most of them were twice my age. They were all dressed to the nines. They were well put together and professional, and there I was, with my cheap double breasted suit I’d bought for a wedding, I was a total fish out of water! I’m sure you can imagine how I felt during this interview.

I was the last interview of the day. I sat down with the director and said, “I just want to be upfront with you. I have absolutely NO experience at all. But I promise you this: If you give me a chance, I will give it my best. If you are willing to teach me, I will work the hardest and be the best catering manager you’ve ever had.”

Two days letter the letter dropped onto my doormat saying “If you can leave tomorrow to go to Leicester for 3 weeks to be trained into management, the job is yours!”

I know you’re thinking, “Andrew, that’s never going to work for me!” HELLO! I was an inexperienced, unqualified 18-year-old guy. But I didn’t let that stop me from applying for that position. I was upfront and honest, and I didn’t try to be someone or something I wasn’t.

The best thing I had going for me was that I was hungry and teachable, and I was willing to work hard and learn everything I possibly could. And because of that, I was in the top 5 managers my very first month, and I achieved budgets every month after that.

All the time, I hear people say, “Andrew, I just can’t find a job that I’m qualified for. I didn’t go to college, so nobody is going to hire me.” But what would happen if you took this approach in your next job interview? If it worked for me at 18 years old, it can work for you too!

Most employers are NOT looking for a perfect person who has it all together and already knows everything — they know they’re not going to find that! They are looking for someone who is teachable and will work hard. Do not try to be someone you’re not, because the truth will come out eventually. Just focus on doing your best and having the right attitude. Your attitude is everything!

What would happen if you took this approach every day in your job? If you choose to remain hungry and teachable, there is no limit to what you can learn and achieve!

It’s no secret that millions of people are unemployed right now. In fact, you probably know several personally. Learn to Trust

I did a survey on Facebook a couple of years ago, asking, “What is the biggest challenge you have with people?” Guess what — “trusting other people” ranked third highest on that list. That’s really not hard to believe. After all, think about how many times you’ve heard someone say, “I just have a hard time trusting people.” (Or maybe you have said that yourself.)

Right now, let’s discover why you struggle with trusting other people, as well as how you can become a more trustworthy person, because you, , are supposed to succeed in life! If you cannot trust and others have no trust in you, you will never succeed in your business, career or relationships. My distrust turned me into a bitter, hateful person. And to be completely honest with you, if I had not learned how to deal with that bitterness and resentment, I would not be alive today!

Forgiveness gave me life! By forgiving the ones who hurt me, I could move forward to bigger and better things in life. I forgave for the sake of my own freedom and happiness, for the sake of my personal redemption and restoration, and for the sake of my own success.

If you have a hard time trusting people, look at why. What experiences taught you not to trust others? Who told you not to trust people? Take the time today to get to the bottom of it. Forgive those people! Once you identify your barriers to trust, you can move past them through forgiveness and begin building trust.

There is one guarantee in life: People will disappoint you. They will take advantage of you, gossip about you and hurt you. Embrace the Law of Forgiveness to move forward, grow and reach your destiny.

It’s a fact — whatever you sow, you will reap. If you sow distrust, you reap distrust. If you do not trust others, they will not trust you. A few key things will help you build mutual trust with others:

Honor is the number one key to successful relationships. People love to be honored. They love to feel special and important. When you make a consistent effort to honor everyone around you, you’ll find it becomes easy to build trust when you honor others.

Become genuinely interested in other people. When people see your interest as building a relationship — and not looking for what’s in it for you — they begin to trust you. Manipulation destroys trust, where genuine interest builds trust.

Humility builds trust. Humility means putting others higher than yourself. Hear me on this — it does not mean putting yourself down to make the other person feel better. It means taking the focus off yourself and shining a light on other people. True humility gives credit where credit is due!

Consistent follow-through proves you are trustworthy. Your word should be your bond. Making a promise and then honoring it speaks volumes. We’ve all heard “actions speak louder than words” and this is so true!
Whether trusting any other person scares you, or trust comes as second nature to you, these simple tips will help you build even stronger bonds of trust with your family, friends, colleagues and clients.

Do you know someone struggling with trust? (Probably more people than you realize.) Go ahead and share this message with them today! It takes you less than a minute, and it could save a marriage, a career, or even a life today! Share via email, or just post this on Facebook and Twitter.

Achieving Success is Right Here

Have you ever wondered what you’re supposed to do with your life? Have you wondered what your purpose on this earth is? How many years of your life have you spent searching for meaning and satisfaction? How long have you felt unfulfilled?

The truth is, everyone wants to be happy and satisfied. Everyone wants to live a fulfilled life. But if you look around today, you’ll see a world full of people constantly searching for satisfaction, but never quite finding it.

I’m telling you this, , because I want you to have the freedom to live the life of significance you so desire.

Did you know less than 20% of the UK population are satisfied with their work, according to latest research? Economists say a lack of job satisfaction hurts innovation, competitiveness and productivity causing older workers’ reluctance to share their knowledge and skills with the next generation. Can you see how this causes a major breakdown in the workforce?

This could explain why 91% of “Generation Y” workers (those born in the 80’s and 90’s) only expect to stay in a job for 3 years or less and why half of them would rather be unemployed than stay in a job they hate? Remarkably, 3 out of 5 “Gen Y-ers” feel personally responsible for making a difference in the world. Research put this trend in a nutshell: “Millennials most want a career that actually matters.”

While it’s great this generation is driven by a deep desire to feel satisfied in their work and to make the world a better place, it seems they take the”follow your passion” mantra to be sound career advice. Leaving school, they’re pure fireballs of potential with unlimited opportunities! Yet, they choose to spend their time and energy seeking their passion.

That passion identified, they spend the rest of their lives searching for a career inside of passion, sure it’s the only path to satisfaction. And, this ISN’T unique to Gen Y! It may look a little different across different generations and walks of life, but the search for significance is something we all face at some point in our lives.

I’m here to tell you “significance” and “satisfaction” do not come from a job. They don’t come from working within your preferred industry…or even from following your passion. So, STOP SEARCHING!!!

Stop trying to figure out who you are and what you want, and DO what’s in front of you! You’ve got to give 100% and work with excellence and diligence, regardless of what you’re doing. That is when satisfaction comes.

I completely understand the desire to do something meaningful with your life, and it’s amazing that you want to make a difference in the world. But do you realize that you can impact the world by doing what’s in front of you RIGHT NOW?

What you focus on is what you get more of, so focus on finding satisfaction in your work. Instead of focusing on hating your job, colleagues or boss, focus on what you like about your job. Focus on doing your absolute best every day. When you work with excellence and diligence, you WILL find satisfaction in your work.

Can you imagine what the workplace (and the world) would be like if everyone could find satisfaction in what they actually do? People would certainly be more fulfilled — and not just in work, but in every area of life. YOU can help make that a reality by simply sharing this message with your friends, family, and colleagues !
