Control Your Happiness – Andrew Chenery

Hey Friend,
Have you ever been dissatisfied at work? Have you ever awakened in the morning and thought, “I don’t want to go to work today! It’s so boring. I hate my boss. I can’t wait to get another job so I can finally quit this one!”

What I’m going to tell you today may not be what you want to hear, but I promise you, it will totally eliminate those thoughts and feelings of dissatisfaction in your job. You will learn how to turn your boring, unfulfilling job into a satisfying and fulfilling job, and maybe even get raises, bonuses and promotions!

Friend, did you know you actually have the ability to change your environment without changing your physical location? How? Your environment starts in your mind. It exudes from your being.

Hating your job NEVER opens the vault to blessings. It will, however, decrease your productivity. It will open the door for you to gossip about your boss or to waste time on Facebook and surfing the web. Hating your job will never help you become proficient or to find shortcuts to help you raise the company’s revenue or make you more valuable in the workplace.

Hating your job will cause you to avoid your boss and the people who are at the top, who actually need to see your good attitude, good work, excellence and diligence.

What if you hate your job, but you can’t find another one? Friend, I’m sure this is not the first job you’ve hated, and I guarantee if you go to another job, you will come to the same place of hating that job, too. It doesn’t matter if there is something you don’t like about your job. You must prosper where you’re planted.

The bottom line is, you cannot wait for your work to give you satisfaction; you must find satisfaction in your work.

When you hate your job or your boss, you complain about it. You become that person no one wants to work with. You become that person who does just enough so you don’t get fired, and your boss pays you just enough so you don’t quit.

Have you ever diligently worked at something that was not your job? How did it feel to complete something with absolute excellence? You did the work, but it didn’t feel like work. Maybe you work with diligence and excellence as a parent. Maybe you volunteer in a retirement center. Or perhaps you are the “room parent” in your child’s class at school. Whatever it is, you work diligently, and you get an awesome satisfaction and confidence no one can take away from you.

So today, instead of having the attitude of, “I hate my job. I don’t want to go to work today,” focus on changing your work environment. (Remember, your environment starts in your mind.) Don’t think of it as a job. You are a partner in the company. This is your work, not just a job. You are contributing to the company.

Give it your best and work with excellence in everything your hands touch today. I guarantee that when you change your mindset, your attitude will change, and you will feel more satisfied. You will be more confident and people will want to work with you. Your boss will want to give you raises and promotions, and your whole work environment will change.

If you are an employer, it would be a great idea to pass this along to your employees today. Forward the email, or even print it out and hand it out to everyone in your company. Send this to your friends, family and colleagues. You can even share it on Facebook and Twitter!

How to Think Clearly

Hey there Friend,
I want you to imagine something with me right now. You are standing on a busy street corner in a big city. Traffic is thick — cars, lorries, taxis and buses are honking their horns. You hear babies crying and children begging their parents for the new toys they see in a shop window. You hear car alarms and emergency sirens. A teenager yells to his friend across the street. There are people rushing around everywhere, bumping into each other. The hustle and bustle of the city creates an overwhelming buzz of noise surrounding you on every side. It’s all noise.

Can you feel the stress, anxiety and pressure that comes with all the noise?

Now I want you to think about the kind of noise that goes on in your life every day. What is the noise you hear in your mind, in your home, in your job? What are the worries and cares that compete for your attention every moment of the day and night?

Have you ever noticed in the midst of that noise, it can be hard to keep moving forward? When you have so many different things begging for your time and energy, there is no peace, no stillness. It’s all about now, hurry, fast, react, get it done! You’ve become so used to the traffic in your mind that you’re now literally functioning on autopilot.

Your kids talk to you, but you can’t hear them. Your boss gives you directions, but you can’t comprehend. Your friends confide in you, but their words go in one ear and out the other.

The noise creates confusion and chaos. Your mind is constantly saying, “Go, go, now, now!” But where? You are no longer in control of your thoughts and actions — the traffic is in control. You no longer have the ability to make conscious decisions; you can only react with your subconscious.

Friend, isn’t it time to reclaim control? After all, this is YOUR life. This is your one shot, your all-or-nothing. Is it everything you want it to be? Are you designing the life you want to live? Or when you take a good look at parts of your life, do you wonder how on earth you ended up where you are?

My friend, I don’t want you to wake up one morning 5, 10, 20 years from now and say, “How did I get here? When did things go wrong? Why did my life turn out this way?” But that’s exactly what will happen if you do not stop the traffic, remove the noise and begin to design your life.

When was the last time your mind was still? When is the last time you felt peace? When is the last time you stole a moment away from the busy-ness of life to just be still?

I know there are things begging for your attention right this very moment. And yes, many of them are probably important things. But it’s so important to quiet your mind and really focus on the most important thing in the moment. Make decisions based on that, and not on the traffic in your mind.

When you have a clear and calm mind, you will find that it’s easier to make decisions that will set you up for the kind of success you desire in your life. You will eliminate stress, and experience peace instead. You will not be easily led astray, because you will know exactly where you’re going. A clear and calm mind means a clear and calm focus, and that is what will lead you to success.

It’s such a simple thing, but it can make all the difference.Just give it a shot today. Throughout the day, just stop and take a deep breath. Eliminate the noise, quiet your mind, and focus on what is most important in that very moment.

Friend, I can’t wait to see you reach your full potential. I truly believe you can and you will…IF you learn to eliminate the noiseand make decisions that will lead you to success.

Please pass this along to your friends and family members today. This is a reminder we all need sometimes, especially with the busy-ness we experience on a day-to-day basis. So take a few minutes right now to post this link on your Facebook and Twitter, or just forward this email.

Start seeing your Vision

Hey Friend,
I have a question for you today, and I really want you to take the time to think about it and answer honestly. It is a question with the power to literally change the course and outcome of your life… FOREVER.

What is your vision? What things have you dreamed of doing in your lifetime? When you were young, you had places you wanted to go, things you wanted to do, things you wanted to be. Do you remember what those dreams looked like? What happened to them?

Friend, there’s something you have to understand. There are very few people in the world today who have real vision.

In my early days, I had no vision. My biggest dream was to get a job & eventually maybe get married & have kids. That is a really tiny vision! It really doesn’t even qualify as vision, but that was my dream. My dream had nothing to do with finances, traveling around the world, helping other people or even raising great kids. I just didn’t want my kids or me to be treated badly.

So, how do you go from having no vision to having a huge, passionate vision worthy of living for? How do you get a vision that drives you, that is meaningful and purposeful, that makes you get out of bed in the morning?

How did I get from where I was to where I am now? It’s really simple.

If you don’t have a big vision for your life, that’s okay! Hang out with people who DO have vision, and it will rub off on you. That’s what happened to me.

I started hanging out with people of vision, and their vision became my vision. It wasn’t until someone else talked about living a financially independent life with great relationships and honorable children that I said, “Hey, that’s a great idea!” In all reality, my vision was an accumulation of several other people’s visions.

Then you get to a certain place in your life and a level of belief in yourself and your personal development when you say, “I wonder if I can do it THIS way…” So you set a goal, make a plan and take action to make it happen.

But Friend, today I want to take it a step further than just getting vision. The reality is, nothing becomes dynamic until it becomes specific.

It’s easy to say, “I want to help people.” But years will go by and you will still be saying, “I really want to help people!” It’s time to get SPECIFIC!

Do you want to feed orphans in Nicaragua? Do you want to build an orphanage in Belize? Do you want to rescue kids from the sex trade in Thailand? Do you want to take care of the elderly in your own city? When will you start? What supplies do you need? How will you do it? How much will it cost?

You must have a specific vision, and goals and plans to back it up. It cannot be some pie-in-the-sky idea floating around out there. Until you take the pie out of the sky, get the ingredients, prepare the pie and put it in the oven, you will end up with NO PIE!

You’ve got to set a goal, make a plan and take the necessary steps to make it happen.

So Friend, what is your vision? And WHY do you want to do it? If you do not know why you are doing what you’re doing, you will quit when it gets hard. Your vision will never carry you forward until you know the reason that drives you to do it. If your why isn’t big enough, you will quit at the first roadblock. You will be easily distracted by every other cool idea that comes along.

Today, I encourage you to really think about this. What is your vision? What is your why? And what is your plan to make it happen?

Like I said earlier, if you do not have a vision, that is okay! Now you know how to get a vision. And I promise you, if you hang around this blog community, and stay connected with the amazing people on our Facebook page, you will become a person of vision!

Take a moment right now to pass this message on to your friends, family and colleagues. We can all use a boost to strengthen our vision and keep us on the right track, so share this email and post this link on your Facebook and Twitter today!
