How To Find True Happiness – FPUK.co

Happiness Green Road Sign with Dramatic Clouds and Sky.

Hi Friends,

This time next week our wedding weekend will have passed and I will be a married man, in fact according to an app on my iPhone in 5 days 8 hours and 38 minutes, but do you know since my fiancee said “Yes” I have had peace and joy in my heart every single day. But thats added a depth of happiness on top of my daily peace I experience each and every day.

It pleases me that each day of my life, I experience feelings of happiness. I focus on finding joy at some time of the day. My reality is wonderful because I experience so many things that bring me happiness.

In the morning, I wake up with feelings of refreshment and wonder. I think about what my day might bring. Perhaps I can see an old friend today. Maybe this is the day that the love of my life surprises me with something special. As the sun rises, my joy is just beginning.

Most days when I head to visit a client I will take the coast road to see the ocean, the continuous waves and movement of the sea for me is a relaxing and calming experience, what is yours?

Although some things that make me happy are fleeting, I know I have many reasons to be happy. I make an effort to keep those reasons in my mind each day.

The love of my partner, the pleasure of watching my children grow, the fascination of my work, and the unknown elements to come in life all make me feel happy.

My enjoyment of the day keeps my spirits high. I smile to myself because I feel gratitude for my life and this day. The joy I feel at this moment reminds me of all the love I have in my life.

Today, I recognize the many reasons that enable me to experience daily happiness. Every day brings another chance to feel joy and remind myself of the love and happiness in my life. And I am thankful.

Life leaves bitter and sweet tastes in the mouth. It’s easy to find yourself on the lawn of negativity, drinking from a glass half empty on grass that definitely isn’t as green as your neighbours’. Then, in the space of a day or so, everything can seem like sunshine and lollipops again.

Your feelings may well be in constant flux, but God wants to give us a steady, deeper joy, that’s not based on surface level happiness or sadness. Thinking negatively about ourselves or our situation doesn’t improve things, even if we think that we’re just being ‘realistic’. It’s not delusional to focus on being positive. Words have power in our lives and so does our thought life. Don’t feed your heart with the wrong stuff.

Do you imagine God looking down on us negatively? Rick Warren wrote this, ‘God is love. He didn’t need us. But he wanted us. And that is the most amazing thing.’ God has bound Himself to you – that’s not something that changes from day to day, even if we feel far from Him. Whatever negative spin you can put on your lot in life, God says He intends ‘to prosper you and not to harm you… to give you hope and a future.’ (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV) Live in this deeper joy.

What now?

Self-Reflection Questions:

What are some sources of my happiness?
Do I allow myself to feel daily joy?
How can I increase my awareness of what makes me happy, thereby increasing my feelings of happiness?

Living with an attitude of gratitude helps start this process for many people. I want you to “Thank every single person who has ever told you that you can’t because they are just another reason why you will” succeed in whatever you put your efforts into achieving.

I encourage you today to get these principles working in your favour. Don’t leave your success to chance — follow the laws and create your dream life!

Please take a minute to pass this message along to your friends, family and colleagues today. You never know who desperately needs this guidance and direction for their lives, so share this on your social media sites, print it out and pass it around or simply forward this email.

This is your life – make it count.

Stay Blessed

Andrew 🙂
